EDFM // Mining / Field Procedures

Turn collected fragments into cargo by managing refinery bins and transferring completed tonnes into the cargo hold.

Use this procedure when collected fragments are not becoming cargo, the refinery is filling with unwanted resources, or a mining run needs a clean refinery workflow.

Required equipment

  • Refinery
  • Cargo space
  • Collectible mining fragments or chunks

Procedure

Procedure
  1. Confirm the refinery is installed, powered, and not disabled by module priorities.
  2. Confirm the cargo hold has free space for completed tonnes.
  3. Let collector limpets deliver fragments to the refinery.
  4. Watch refinery bins as each resource percentage rises toward a full tonne.
  5. If a bin contains an unwanted resource, vent or clear that bin before it blocks preferred fragments.
  6. If collectors keep bringing unwanted fragments, add that commodity to the ignore workflow for the run.
  7. When a tonne completes, confirm it transfers into cargo and frees refinery space.

Completion check

The refinery is working when useful fragments are increasing bin percentages, completed tonnes are moving into cargo, and unwanted bins are not blocking the desired commodity.

Common problems

  • Refinery full: clear unwanted bins or free cargo space.
  • Cargo full: sell, transfer, abandon, or make space before more tonnes can complete.
  • Wrong fragments keep arriving: see How to Ignore Unwanted Mining Commodities.
