The Fuel Transfer Limpet Controller launches limpets that draw fuel out of the controlling ship's own tank and deliver it to a targeted ship, refuelling it in flight.

Overview

Fuel Transfer limpets are one of four original Limpet Controller types (alongside Collector, Hatch Breaker, and Prospector), and are the tool behind community fuel-rescue operations for Commanders stranded with an empty tank, as well as general fleet support for wingmates running low on fuel far from a station.

Field note

A Fuel Transfer limpet moves fuel from your tank to the target's — it does not create fuel, so the donor ship needs enough reserve fuel to spare before offering a transfer.
