Thrusters are a core internal module fitted to every ship, controlling normal-space movement: forward/lateral/vertical speed, boost speed, and pitch/yaw/roll handling.

Overview

Thruster performance is strongly affected by the ship's total mass, including cargo, fitted modules, and fuel — a heavily laden ship will handle and boost noticeably worse than an empty one with the same thrusters fitted. This makes Thrusters a common Engineering target for both combat builds (handling) and exploration/trade builds (efficiency, boost).
