EDFM // Ships & Equipment / Modules
The core internal module that governs a ship's detection range for other ships, signal sources, and points of interest.
Sensors are a core internal module fitted to every ship, governing detection range for other ships, signal sources, and navigational beacons. They are distinct from the Detailed Surface Scanner, which is an optional internal module used for planetary and system exploration scanning rather than general contact detection.
Overview
The Sensors module determines how far away a Commander can detect other contacts on the radar and target them. Higher-class Sensors extend this range, which matters for combat awareness, locating signal sources, and general situational awareness in a system.
