The core internal Bulkheads module — referred to as "Armour" in Engineering, where it governs hull integrity and damage resistance.
Armour is the Engineering-blueprint name for a ship's Bulkheads, the core internal module that sets a ship's base hull integrity and its resistance to kinetic, thermal, and explosive damage. Every ship comes fitted with a base Bulkheads option and can be upgraded to progressively heavier variants before any Engineering is applied.
Overview
Bulkheads scale a ship's hull integrity by a percentage rather than a flat amount, and heavier variants add mass, which affects jump range and handling. Because of this tradeoff, Armour choice — and Armour Engineering on top of it — is usually made around a ship's intended role rather than always taking the heaviest available option.
Armour is separate from the Hull Reinforcement Package, an optional internal module that adds flat hull integrity instead of a percentage bonus; the two are commonly used together.
