Template:License-Public domain

This file is in the public domain. State why in the file description (e.g. expired copyright, a public-domain government work, or the creator's own explicit public-domain dedication) — "public domain" is a specific legal status, not a default for anything without an obvious owner. This is not the correct classification for Elite Dangerous game assets, which are not public domain — use {{License-ED screenshot}} for those.

Usage

The license value inserted when a contributor picks "Public domain" from the Licensing dropdown on Special:Upload. Genuinely rare on this wiki — almost nothing related to Elite Dangerous itself qualifies. Don't use this as a fallback for "I don't know the license."
