Place it near the top of the article, above or below {{tl|Article status}}.

If you're marking a page as a placeholder, {{tl|Article status}} itself now
also accepts a <code>noindex=yes</code> parameter directly, which is usually
more convenient than adding a separate {{SEO}} call just for that one thing.

When no {{SEO|title=}}/{{SEO|description=}} is given, EDFM generates a
plain mechanical fallback automatically (page name + site name; "X reference
for Elite Dangerous commanders...") -- set them explicitly only when a more
specific, human-written title or description would genuinely help search
results or social shares. Most pages don't need this template at all.
